 "It is Possible"
I can say for certain this week I learned a new word and got a new inspiration compliment of Mr. Watson. I guess one can say when giving up looks like an option just say “It is possible” because more often that not the journey looks daunting and impossible but it really isn’t just know “It is possible”. I learned the word acrostic this week. Acrostic is defined as lines of writing in which the first or last letters of each line spell a word or saying; basically the opposite of an abbreviation. For example exceptional x-ray traded right after, the acrostic is extra. Yup…what students have been doing for centuries when studying; using acrostics.

There is need to be sure of the goals, objectives, strategies, plans and execution when event planning, made abundantly clear this week. That is right!! Events are being planned for S.E.E.D and although one can say we are in phase one where we brainstorm, put ideas to paper then evaluate if said event is possible and see what resources will be necessary in order to make it a hit, I realise I like transforming an idea into an enterprise with well skilled colleagues. As a new and fairly inexperience in event planning there is the need to listen carefully and think creatively when planning events. I learned that thinking bigger is good but also be practical in other words be aware of your restraints or limits. Present ideas thoroughly and abundantly clear, make sure that weak ideas are eliminated to make room for better thought of ones. And lastly be aware of the restraints or boundaries that you cannot change and that most definitely have to be worked with. Ms. Mapp Watson and Takara gave me feedback on my ideas and helped in pointing out certain factors of event planning which I can build on.

I also did housekeeping as it relates to S.E.E.D this week and learned a thing or two from fellow intern, Landael about certain programs such as Adobe Flash Professional which can also help create great, well organised and fun presentations. Needless to say this will be something that I will diligently learn and then tell you can be sure I will inform you of my progress.
