Video time

I keep hearing Team Tech talking about how great their team is, how well they get along etc. It's like rainbows and unicorns with them. lol. While I am by no means in any competition about whose team is best and what not I just want to put out there that Team Alpha is by no means an underdog team. Team Alpha may not strike anybody as crazy or vibrant but that's because we know how to keep that on the low. It's our own secret. I can honestly say I love the team that I'm working with.
For the video, Gabrielle and I came up with the concepts and while she was out sick and she says she is not creative, she is a great sounding board. At times I got really carried away what with the chocolate and cappucino flavoured wafers I had but luckily Gabrielle was there to bring me back on track and we got some work done.From the beginning it has just been Gabrielle and I, old person and young person ( because somehow she thinks me being four years older makes me a senior citizen) and we've made our jokes, we've clashed on ideas, we've agreed on ideas, we've just been a dynamic duo. Only now we have a new team member and you get skeptical wondering how that person is going to fit into the group and if they will compliment the other personalities.It's even worse if it's two girls who are mostly different and debate on every possible thing amicably and the new person is a boy. Odd man out? After the two days we have had as the new Team Alpha I can honestly say that the most randomly placed people that we are go together well. While Gabrielle and I would sit and debate our different ideas, Tyrone would just sit there and take it all in. Not because he isn't interested but maybe because the estrogen in the room is overpowering and when you ask him to do something as long as it is in his capabilities which it always is, he amazes you with just how much he was listening to what you said and the work he produces.
Gabrielle said she isn't very creative and she dreaded having to do the video but I'm glad for it because it showed me my team's strength individually and together. So if you aren't creative it's okay, there is always something that you are good at even if you don't know it and maybe you'll find out what that is at this internship. You will be challenged and treated your age in the sense that the responsibilities you get are real. They aren't tasks you got set doing because someone else doesn't want to do it. Put yourself out, have a great attitude and you just may get further than you ever imagined.
