Micro Macro 2016 - Week 1

Just weeks ago I was charged with the task of coordinating the 2016 Micro-Macro Internship Program under the title Program Coordinator and what an experience it has been thus far!.

I absolutely love having opportunities to learn and grow and I must say, this has been the perfect setting. Thus far I have learned how important and effective team work can be, without the assistance of this year's Micro Macro Team, Jenai, Dina and Jamarri, this effort would have been in vain.

I also discovered how hard it is to have to choose just 15 people out of  29 applicants especially when having the opportunity to meet so many bright and brilliant souls.

I have had the opportunity to spend 2 full training days with most of the successful interns and from Day 1, I started to fall in love with their varying personalities. Some incredibly quiet, others very outspoken. All of them possessing a love for laughter and life.

Additionally, we have been blessed to learn from individuals who have been gracious enough to volunteer their time and wisdom to assist with the training for the program.

Overall, the week has been a great one and I am looking forward to bonding with this year's interns over the next 7 weeks.
