Familiarising self with the UBIQUITI RocketM2 device

-      This week the task at hand was getting familiar with the UBIQUITI settings in the RocketM2, but there was only one problem.... The device settings seemed not to work using Internet Explorer, to which my solution was to download my most loved internet browser, wait for it.....MOZILLA FIREFOX !! After overcoming the challenge of not being able to enter the RocketM2 settings, came my love of playing around with technology and getting an understanding of how it works. While performing my experimentation I faced what seemed like a very large setback. I somehow managed to lock myself out of the device while experimenting with changing its IP address back to the default. You may want to know why this happened...? well little did I know that that particular IP address was being used by another device on the network...silly me huh? For a moment I had my heart in my hand saying "omg how is this possible...what have i done SAD FACE". Feeling so dumb that I had locked myself out of the device I went to Andaiye an employee at POS people and that's when I learnt that I couldn't use that IP address which was the reason I got locked out of the device. It was at that moment I was able to put my heart back into my chest. Andaiye was able to change the IP address of the other device using the default IP address of the RocketM2 and I was once again back into the device settings to do my experimentation. The most important lesson learnt from the experience is that you should ALWAYS check for unused IP addresses that are available for experimentation.

-      At long last I finally learnt how to clone a machine!! This was something I always wanted to be able to do. I was able to learn how to do it as one of the employees and myself was able to successfully clone a machine. Despite the fact that we both had no prior knowledge or experience in doing so, we were able to both learn without destroying the pc that we were cloning BIG SMILEY FACE.
