Problem? Challenge Accepted!! Problem Solved!!
This week is where things got even more interesting. Mr. Watson and myself went to the job site and I was now able to use the server physically instead of remotely. The task at hand was being able to connect a device to the RocketM2 wifi antennae. I first logged into the RocketM2 and removed all security which would allow all devices trying to access the connection to do so. On trying to connect to the network the device kept asking for a password and we thought it strange knowing I had just removed all security from the device. On going over the settings again I realized that the network I was trying to access was not the correct network and it was quite a laugh because I was doing everything I could think of possible to try to connect to this network. This happened because I was unable to pick up signal from the network that I wanted to access and there was another network within that area with a similar SSID. After realizing this we shifted position until we were able to get a signal from the RocketM2, however we weren't successful in connecting to it. On leaving work that day still unable to connect to the RocketM2 I returned the next day and scoured the internet looking for possible solutions. After hours of reading we went back to the job site and I was able to solve the problem of connecting devices to the RocketM2. We then shifted position around the warehouse to verify that we had good signal everywhere ensuring that the devices connecting to this antennae would be able to function in all these areas. We then went out onto the supermarket floor where we would need a strong signal also, however this brought about a problem because the signal dropped out. This ends my experience of week 3 however I will have the task of eliminating this problem in week 4. In my next blog lets see how I handled this task.
